Chelsea’s experience with theatre began in high school, where she acted in Our Town (Mrs. Webb), Fiddler on the Roof (Yente), and Godspell. However, her love of performance started before that, at the age of 12, when she began taking classes in ballet, lyrical, jazz, musical theater, and tap at the Sandra K. Mesler Dance Studio.

In college, she continued to study dance, participating in the student-run Orchesis Dance Company, performing musical theater, contemporary, and hip-hop pieces as part of its annual recital, as well as taking courses on modern and contemporary dance. She graduated from Allegheny College with a degree in Communication Arts and a minor in Psychology.

Chelsea has been involved with Washington Community Theatre since 2022, appearing in productions such as A Funny Thing….Forum (Gymnasia), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Friend), Kiss Me Kate (Featured Dancer), The Drowsy Chaperone (Ensemble), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Featured Dancer). Recently, she also took on the role of Stage Manager for WCT’s production of Sister Act.

Other local productions include Squabbles (Alice Sloan) and Arsenic and Old Lace (Elaine Harper), both at Old Schoolhouse Players in Hickory, PA.

Chelsea also takes ballroom dance lessons with her husband, Justin, studying styles such as Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Chacha, Rumba, and Swing, and performing at local Arthur Murray showcase events.

When she’s not dancing or on the stage, Chelsea works in nonprofit Communications. She is a lifelong resident of Washington, PA.
